1. Transportation Consent & Release
- Authorization: I hereby give my express permission for Joyful Learning Center ("Joyful") staff to transport my child via private vehicle or camp-authorized vehicle between Joyful Kidsland and the outdoor basketball court at 50 Broad Street, Bedford. This includes round-trip transportation for the duration of the camp session.
- Assumption of Risk: I understand that there are inherent risks associated with vehicular travel. I agree that Joyful, its employees, and agents shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from such transportation, except in cases of proven gross negligence by Joyful.
- Booster Seats: (If applicable) I acknowledge that I am responsible for providing a safety-certified booster seat if my child is under the age of 9 or under 145 cm tall, in accordance with Nova Scotia provincial law.
2. Athletic Safety & Footwear Requirements
- Mandatory Footwear: For the safety of the participant and to prevent injuries, all children MUST wear appropriate athletic sneakers. * Prohibited Footwear: Flip-flops, sandals, crocs, or any open-toe shoes are strictly PROHIBITED during basketball activities. I understand that if my child arrives without proper athletic shoes, they may be excluded from the basketball portion of the day for safety reasons.
3. Outdoor Activity & Physical Health
- Health Warranty: I certify that my child is in good physical health and has no medical conditions (e.g., heart conditions, severe asthma) that would make strenuous outdoor exercise unsafe.
- Weather & Hydration: I understand this is an outdoor camp. I am responsible for providing my child with a refillable water bottle, a hat, and applying sunscreen before drop-off. Joyful reserves the right to move activities indoors or adjust schedules in the event of extreme heat or rain.
4. Robotics Equipment Responsibility
- I understand that my child will be working with expensive robotics kits and electronic devices. While staff will provide supervision, I agree to be responsible for any intentional damage caused to the equipment by my child.
