The curriculum follows a progressive, skill-based approach that develops young riders through three stages:
Learn
Students acquire fundamental cycling skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Practice
Students apply techniques through structured activities, games, and skill drills.
Explore
Students transfer skills to real trail settings and develop independent riding abilities.
Grow
Students build confidence, teamwork, leadership, and environmental responsibility.

Expected Learning Outcomes
Upon completion, junior riders will:
Ride safely on beginner to intermediate trails
Demonstrate effective bike handling skills
Understand trail etiquette and safety procedures
Show confidence and independence while riding
Respect the natural environment and trail systems
Develop lifelong interest in cycling and outdoor recreation Helmets must be worn at all times while riding.
Knee pads and elbow pads are mandatory during all training sessions.
Bikes must be in good mechanical condition before each class.
Instructors may refuse participation if required safety equipment is not provided.

Required Equipment
To ensure safety and provide the best learning experience, all participants must bring:
A properly fitted Mountain Bike
A certified Cycling Helmet (mandatory)
Knee Protection/Pads (mandatory)
Elbow Protection/Pads (mandatory)
Closed-toe athletic shoes
Water bottle
Recommended Bike Type
We strongly encourage riders to use a mountain bike that is suitable for off-road and trail riding. A mountain bike provides the stability, control, and durability needed for skill development and safe trail riding.
Not Recommended
The following bicycle types are not recommended for this program:
E-bikes (electric bicycles)
Foldable bikes
Road bikes
These bicycles are not designed for the skills training, terrain, and trail conditions used in our junior mountain bike courses.
